Commentary: The stories of the birth of Jesus tell of the excitement of a Savior's birth. Mary is called the Virgin Mary because she was pregnant before marriage, the Holy Ghost put the child in her so that one day he could forgive the sins of the world. This story is similar to birth stories told in Greek mythology. For example, when Zeus was born, everyone knew that he was powerful and that one day he would be the almighty king.

- Joseph wanted to quietly not marry Mary, but an angel told him to not be afraid, the child was from the Holy Ghost.
