- Zeus was the father of Persephone. She had no mother.
- Persephone and Aphrodite were the wives of Adonis.
- She was also the wife of Hades (Pluto).
- The lush land turned to ice when Persephone went away.
- Hermes went to the underworld to try to get Persephone back.
- Persephone had to return to the underworld for four months every year.
- Persephone represents spring and summer. (She would emerge from the underworld every spring.)
