Achilles Source: Edith Hamilton's "Mythology"
- Achilles is the son of Thetis and Peleus.
- He was not allowed to fight in the Trojan War, he would have surely died.
- Achilles is instead disguised to be a lady and sent away.
- Odysseus went to try to find Achilles where he was hiding.
- Odysseus found Achilles and convinced him to go back to a Greek camp with him.
- During the war Achilles' mother came to him saying that he should stop fighting with the Greeks, and she wanted the Trojans to win the war.
- Achilles decided to listen to his mother and stop helping the Greeks, while Zeus went to help the Trojans.
- Achilles killed Hector with a spear, watching his soul leave and go to Hades. He skinned the corpse and speared his feet.
- During a battle, he then killed Memnon. This resulted in Achilles getting hurt my a poisoned spear that hit him in his heel.
